2016 Bicol Regional TVET Forum, with its theme: “The Imperatives of a More Sustainable and Inclusive Development in the Countrysides: The TVET Perspective.”,

 

Our Regional TESDA Committee (RTESDC), in one of its board meetings approved the holding of a Regional TVET Forum. We are pleased to inform you that all systems are go for this event, dubbed as 2016 Bicol Regional TVET Forum, with its theme: The Imperatives of a More Sustainable and Inclusive Development in the Countrysides: The TVET Perspective.”, on November 25, 2016, Friday, at 8:00 a.m to 5:00p.m. at the Convention Hall, Naga Regent Hotel, Naga City. This will not be possible without your kind approval and unequivocal support.

 

The Forum will be a convergence of Bicol-based TVET providers, both public and private, bridging the Decision and Policy makers (TVI Owners and Administrators, TESDA Directors, concerned Government Agencies, like DOLE, DILG, DICT, DTI, DA, CHED, DEP-Ed and LGUs; the Assessors, Trainers and Faculty Members of TVIs and TTIs; the students/trainees, and other stakeholders, up to the target end-users/Employers. The speakers and resource persons are expected to, provide the latest updates and information, discuss opportunities and challenges, and engage the participants in functional and relevant inter-actions, healthy exchanges of ideas, and clarify issues and concerns of significance to the TVET ecosystem.

 

The Forum is designed to highlight the importance of public-private partnership, collaboration and synergy, and sustainable and inclusive development in the countryside. Most important, it is one of the key objectives of the Forum to arrive at concrete agreements, action plans and follow through activities to make this event relevant, responsive, and significant to all parties concerned. All these good things will be expounded during the 2016 Bicol Regional TVET Forum which dovetails with the Bicol Business Month. Also, the following TVET associations will be inducted during the forum: APPTVICS, PTESDCs, Provincial TVIs Associations.

 

Along with this, may we respectfully request your support by sending yourself or your representatives to participate and attend this Regional TVET Forum. A minimal registration fee of six hundred fifty pesos (Php 650.00) per participant will be collected to subsidize the cost of one lunch, two snacks, certificate and organizational expenses. Herewith attached is the project brief and the tentative program.
